Sub Primary to Intermediate

Welcome to the Junior Competition at Walkerville Netball Clubs! Our junior teams proudly compete in the Adelaide Metropolitan Netball Division (AMND), South Australia’s largest netball competition. Matches are held on Saturdays from April to September at Netball SA Stadium, the home of the Adelaide Thunderbirds.

WNC is a competitive club with a country atmosphere and we are currently working towards becoming the next Premier League club in SA, whilst remaining inclusive to all levels of abilities.

Sub-Primary: 8:00 am
Primary: 9:05 am
Sub-Junior: 10:10 am
Junior: 11:15 am
Intermediate (Inters): 12:45 pm

Season finals:

Semi-Finals: Saturday, 6th September 2025
Preliminary Final: Saturday, 13th September 2025
Grand Final: Saturday, 20th September 2025

Compulsory training schedule:

Monday Nights (6:00 pm – 7:30 pm) for Sub-Primary, Primary, Sub-Junior, and Junior grades at Netball SA Stadium.
Intermediate (Inters) training (Wednesdays), held at SAUCNA courts, alternating times:
- 6:15 pm – 7:30 pm
- 7:30 pm – 8:45 pm

Training start dates:

Monday, 17th March 2025 (for all grades except Intermediate and Net/Set)
Wednesday, 19th March 2025 (Intermediate training begins)
Net/Set teams train on Sundays, starting Term 1, 2025, at 10:00 am.

To join WNC for the upcoming season, all new and returning players must submit an Expression of Interest (EOI).

EOI Deadline: Thursday, 23 January 2025

Please note: Submitting an EOI does not guarantee a placement in a team.

New player skills session
New players must attend a compulsory Skills Session:

Date: Saturday, 1 February 2025
Time: 8:30 am – 10:30 am
Location: Netball SA Stadium, 155 Railway Terrace, Mile End South

Following the session, successful new players will receive an email by 4 February 2025 with an invitation to register via PlayHQ. If not selected, players will be placed on a waitlist.

Elite Pathways Program

New for 2025, WNC is proud to introduce our Elite Pathways Program. This program is designed to nurture and develop players showing strong potential and commitment to the sport.

What’s included:

Skills development with experienced coaches
Position-specific training and game strategies
Fitness and conditioning sessions

Who can join? Players across all grades (Sub-Junior and above) demonstrating talent, attitude, and a desire to grow in their netball journey.

More information about the program, including schedules and selection processes, will be provided closer to the season start.
